Research
My research in Theoretical Computer Science includes the theory of algorithms, complexity, and applications thereof. I have worked on combinatorial counting problems, algebraic algorithms, parameterized algorithms, fine-grained complexity theory, and kernelization lower bounds.
Curriculum Vitae
I joined Goethe University as Professor in September 2020, and I have a part-time position as Associate Professor at ITU Copenhagen. I was full-time at ITU since June 2019. Before, I was a PostDoc+ at Saarland University, UC Berkeley, Paris Diderot, and UW Madison. I obtained my PhD at HU Berlin in 2011, under the supervision of Martin Grohe.
At Saarland University, I have supervised two PhD students: Cornelius Brand (now: Postdoctoral Fellow at Charles University, Prague) and Marc Roth (now: Postdoctoral Junior Research Fellow at Merton College, Oxford University).
